Situated in Molendinar on Australia’s world-renowned Gold Coast, IFC is a nationally recognised, privately owned film school dedicated to providing a comprehensive training experience in the areas of producing, directing, scriptwriting, camera operation, editing, lighting, sound recording, production management, photography, set design and film production.

Accommodation
There are many types of accommodation available on the Gold Coast, including apartments, houses in the suburbs or home-stays with local families. Students can expect to pay between AUD$150 and AUD$250 a week for accommodation and a further AUD$150+ per week on living expenses such as food, transport and utilities.
International Film College highly recommends a very comfortable and spacious home-stay in Helensvale, just 10 minutes drive from the College.The home-stay is run by a couple with many years experience in looking after international students and they provide a number of services, including airport transfers, accommodation with private ensuite bathroom, all meals, laundry service, transport to and from the College, weekend entertainment

Admission
As IFC is a small, highly specilised professional training provider, the application for admission is a simple 2 stage process:
Stage 1 - Registration of Interest
Stage 2 - Acceptance of a Letter of Offer of Enrolment
You are eligible for admission if you:
- Are 18 years of age or older
- Have obtained an English Language level of at least 5.5 on the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) test or a score of at least 525 (or 69-70 in TOEFL iBT) on the TOEFL (paper based) test if your first language is not English.
Stage 1 - Request and submit a Registration of Interest form. This form can be submitted at any time. This form indicates the documentary evidence of your secondary and tertiary education that you are required to submit as well as the level of English language proficiency required for entry into IFC Courses.
Stage 2 - There is a limit of 10 overseas placements per course intake. There is no guarantee of course application acceptance as the intake will be based on students deemed most suitable for the course. Successful applicants will be sent a Letter of Offer.
If the first 10 Letters of Offer are not all accepted, or some lapse within the given period, students on the wait list are sent Letters of Offer. Upon receiving written acceptance, IFC will issue an invoice to the applicant for a minimum of the first two terms of enrolment. When fees have been received by IFC a receipt and Confirmation of Enrolment are sent to the applicant, which is required for their application for a student visa.
