Linguis International is a specialist business and language school, more suitable for people who are serious about learning Business or English. At Linguis International we provide education of the highest standard and quality in a supportive and professional environment. Our campus is situated right in the heart of Christchurch city alongside restaurants, cafes’ and shopping malls.
Linguis International was founded in 1996 as a specialist school, more suited to people who are serious about learning. We pride ourselves on the quality of our teaching and program. All of our courses are approved by the New Zealand Qualification Authority (NZQA) and Linguis International is accredited to teach them. Our ideal small class size, 8 to 10 students max, means that our students get much more personal attention than is usually the case. We produce a unique personalised study plan for each student and guide them through it in a way that helps them maximize their learning potential.
Also imbedded in our English Language Courses is a sharp focus on Real-life English, that is English that includes working, business, migration, travel and cultural aspects of real-life in real life situations. We employ a great variety of teaching and learning techniques and strategies to help our students achieve the best possible results from their study investment in New Zealand. We invite you to take advantage of these unique and highly beneficial learning opportunities.

Accommodation and Living Costs
(Note: All prices in New Zealand Dollars)
We know that finding good accommodation is important to help you succeed in your study. Below are a number of options available to you.
Homestay
Homestay is the best way to experience the New Zealand way of life. All Linguis International's Homestays are inspected regularly by Linguis’ Accommodation Agent.
When you arrive in New Zealand you will be met personally by a Linguis Accommodation Agent and then taken to the city for an orientation session and support with banking, telephone and transport information and then taken to your Homestay home.
Homestay accommodation allows you to concentrate on your studies while also giving you the opportunity to be immersed totally in an English language environment while joining in a NZ family lifestyle.
You will be provided with breakfast and dinner Monday to Friday and three meals a day at the weekends. Your bedroom is private and is furnished with a study desk, heater and bedroom furniture. You will be given a key to their host family's home so you can be as independent as you wish.
Linguis International strongly recommends that you stay in Homestay accommodation for the first 4 months of your studies. This will give you a “boost start" to learning to communicate in International English and will greatly assist your formal study.
Another very positive feature of Homestay accommodation is that it can be fully and easily arranged from your home country so that when you arrive in New Zealand you can move straight in without any fuss, in other words you will “have a roof over your head” from day one!
During this Homestay period you may consider other living options and then make an informed decision. There are other options open to students but these have not been assessed by Linguis International as meeting the Code of Practice for International Students requirements.
