Vytautas Magnus University (VMU), established in 1922 (re-established in 1989) is one of the most liberal and modern universities in Lithuania, having liberal studies policy, seeking and establishing successful international relations with other universities all over the world. It is an open university where traditions and innovations meet and complement each other.

Accommodation
Vytautas Magnus University has two students’ dormitories. The newly renovated dormitory is in the very centre of the city; the second university dormitory is further from the centre. During the academic year foreign students are accommodated in VMU student dormitory (Vytauto pr. 71, Kaunas), in the city centre.
Students in the dormitory of VMU are accommodated in double rooms. Each room has a table, a bed, a wardrobe and chairs. Beddings and towels will be provided. There is a fridge in each room. Usually two rooms are in one block. Internet access is available in each room.
