The site of The Abbey College was established as a seat of learning in 1874, lying on the lower slopes of the famous Malvern Hills in central England. The Abbey College is a member of professional associations such as EnglishUK and HELSA, and is regularly inspected by a number of organisations such as The British Council, OFSTED, the National Care Standards Commission, and other departments relating to health, safety, fire, food and hygiene.
The Abbey College is also inspected and accredited by the British Accreditation Council (BAC). Accredited institutions are subject to full inspections and are required to submit annual reports. The list of BAC-accredited colleges is the most reliable guide in choosing between the many institutions in the independent further education sector. Our BAC accreditation is your assurance of our academic and residential standards. Copies of all our inspection reports are available to parents on request. We also welcome parents of long-term students to the Abbey College at any time, so that progress can be discussed and any problems resolved, reinforcing communication between school and home.
