8 Habits That Wreck Your Relationship

#1. Having an affair with his “potential”

Wanting your man to be the best version of himself is admirable, but approaching his looks and personality with “Extreme Makeover” ambition will do little more than erode his self-esteem and leave you both frustrated and resentful. “If you and your partner believe that love means acceptance, pushing him to change and criticizing him is going to send him the opposite message. What he hears is ‘you aren’t good enough,’” says Nina Atwood, M.Ed., L.P.C., author of  ”Temptations of the Single Girl: The Ten Dating Traps You Must Avoid.”
How to rebuild: This is where the old 80-20 rule can be used to the benefit of both of you. Spend at least 80 percent of your time together letting your partner know all the things you adore and appreciate about him, so that when you mention something you don’t like, it doesn’t feel like another item on a long list of failures.

#2. Major mood swings

We’re living in some pretty anxiety-inducing times, and when life takes a stressful turn, it’s not uncommon for couples to start taking out that stress on each other. While the occasional mood swing can — and should — be forgiven, being in a relationship with someone whose bad moods outnumber her good ones can make a man run for cover. Wouldn’t you do the same?
How to rebuild: The next time you catch yourself taking a downturn, take a moment to consider what kind of impact your moods are having on your man and the relationship. “If a woman is too moody, we start to walk on eggshells because we just don’t want to deal with the drama,” says Matt, 31, of San Diego.

How To Stay Young

stay young

1. Throw out nonessential numbers. This includes age, weight and height. Let the doctors worry about them.

2. Keep only cheerful friends. The grouches pull you down..

3. Keep learning. Learn more about the computer, crafts, gardening, whatever. Never let the brain idle. ‘An idle mind is the devil’s workshop.’

4. Enjoy the simple things.

5.. Laugh often, long and loud. Laugh until you gasp for breath.

6. The tears happen. Endure, grieve, and move on. The only person, who is with us our entire life, is ourselves. Be ALIVE while you are alive.

7. Surround yourself with what you love , whether it’s family, pets, keepsakes, music, plants, hobbies, whatever. Your home is your refuge.

8. Cherish your health: If it is good, preserve it. If it is unstable, improve it.. If it is beyond what you can improve, get help.

9. Don’t take guilt trips. Take a trip to the mall, even to the next county; to a foreign country but NOT to where the guilt is.

10. Tell the people you love that you love them, at every opportunity.

AND ALWAYS REMEMBER :
Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take,
but by the moments that take our breath away.

Watch YouTube to crack CAT, IIMs tell aspirants

The Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) have asked the aspirants seeking a place in the elite B-Schools to watch the YouTube to get assistance in cracking the online Common Admission Test (CAT).

The CAT, which has gone online from this year, will be held between Nov 28 and Dec 7 in 32 cities and at 105 testing centres.

Around 242,000 aspirants will attempt to bell the CAT this year for entry into the reputed IIMs. The figure has fallen from 276,000 candidates last year.

Candidates are encouraged to view the YouTube videos,” an official communication from the IIMs and their online test conductor Prometric said Wednesday.

The IIMs specifically have urged students to watch a video titled “What to expect on test day”.

The management school also issued a final reminder to candidates appearing for the CAT to “stay contactable by phone and email from today onwards. Access emails regularly, including the spam folder”.

The candidates have also been asked to check the admit cards thoroughly for appointment date, time and test location.

“Candidates should note that any SMS messages sent by Prometric will be from PROMETRC (the letter “i” has been omitted to conform to the TRAI eight-character ID regulation),” the company underlined.

For the eighth consecutive year, Indian students in the US topped the figure of foreign students in that country in 2009, numbering 103,260 and registering a 9 per cent increase against last year’s figure of 94,563.

Disclosing this at a press conference here today, US Ambassador to India, Timothy Roemer, said the number of US students in India had also increased by 20 per cent.

Both developments signified a deep understanding between the two countries in the field of education, development and related matters, he said.

”The relationship between the United States and India…can at times be hard to quantify in its many dimensions. But the outstanding news of the record number of Indian students studying in the US is concrete evidence of the strength and depth of our connection,” he said.

Pointing out that the dignity and strength of both nations depended on the education of their people, he called for aggressively seizing the opportunities.

”These extraordinary numbers, growing each year, are a testament to the deep and robust relationship our two countries share and the bright future of cooperation the people of our great nations will see,” he added.

Of these 15,600 are undergraduates, 71,019 graduates (including masters and PhD programmes), 1,755 non-degree and 14,886 internship participants.

In 2007-08, the Indian student distribution in the US was 13,639 undergraduates, 68,069 graduates, 979 non-degree and 10,846 internship participants.

Things You Never Knew Your Cellphone Could Do

There are a few things that can be done in times of grave emergencies.

Your mobile phone can actually be a life saver or an emergency tool for survival. Check out the things that you can do with it: -

1. EMERGENCY

The Emergency Number worldwide for **Mobile** is  112 .* If you find  yourself out of coverage area of your mobile network and there is an emergency, dial 112 and the mobile will search any existing network to establish the emergency number for you, and interestingly this number 112 can be dialed even if the keypad is locked.
**Try it out.**

2. Have you locked your keys in the car?

Does you car have remote keys?
This may come in handy someday. Good reason to own a cell phone:

If you lock your keys in the car and the spare keys are at home, call someone at home on their cell phone from your cell phone. Hold your cell phone about a foot from your car door and have the person at your home press the unlock button, holding it near the mobile phone on their end. Your car will unlock. Saves someone from having to drive your keys to you. Distance is no object. You could be hundreds of miles away, and if you can reach someone who has the other ‘remote’ for your car, you can unlock the doors (or the trunk).

3. Hidden Battery power

Imagine your cell battery is very low, you are expecting an important call and you don’t have a charger. Nokia instrument comes with a reserve battery.

To activate, press the keys *3370#
Your cell will restart with this reserve and the instrument will show a 50% increase in battery. This reserve will get charged when you charge your cell next time.

4. How to disable a STOLEN mobile Phone?

To check your Mobile phone’s serial number, key in the following digits on your phone:
* # 0 6 #
A 15 digit code will appear on the screen. This number is unique to your handset. Write it down and keep it somewhere safe. when your phone get stolen, you can phone your service provider and give them this code. They will then be able to block your handset so even if the thief changes the SIM card, your phone will be totally useless. You probably won’t get your phone back, but at least you know that whoever stole it can’t use/sell it either.

5. This is VITAL

Be careful while using your mobile phone when you try to call someone through mobile phone; don’t put your mobile closer to your ears until the recipient answers.

Because directly after dialing, the mobile phone would use it’s maximum signaling power, which is: 2watts = 33dbi

Top five cancer-causing foods

1. Hot Dogs

1

Because they are high in nitrates, the Cancer Prevention Coalition advises that children eat no more than 12 hot dogs a month. If you can’t live without hot dogs, buy those made without sodium nitrate.

2. Processed meats and Bacon

2

Also high in the same sodium nitrates found in hot dogs, bacon, and other processed meats raise the risk of heart disease. The saturated fat in bacon also contributes to cancer.

3. Doughnuts

3

Doughnuts are cancer-causing double trouble. First, they are made with white flour, sugar, and hydrogenated oils, then fried at high temperatures. Doughnuts, says Adams , may be the worst food you can possibly eat to raise your risk of cancer.

4. French fries

4

Like doughnuts, French fries are made with hydrogenated oils and then fried at high temperatures. They also contain cancer- causing acryl amides which occur during the frying process. They should be called cancer fries, not French fries, said Adams .

5. Chips, crackers, and cookies

5

All are usually made with white flour and sugar.. Even the ones whose labels claim to be free of trans-fats generally contain small amounts of trans-fats.

Main Causes of Liver Damage

ATT00002

1. Sleeping too late and waking up too late are main cause.

2. Not urinating in the morning.

3 . Too much eating.

4. Skipping breakfast.

5. Consuming too much medication.

6. Consuming too much preservatives, additives, food coloring, and artificial sweetener.

7. Consuming unhealthy cooking oil.
As much as possible reduce cooking oil use when frying, which includes even the best cooking oils like olive oil. Do not consume fried foods when you are tired, except if the body is very fit.

8. Consuming raw (overly done) foods also add to the burden of liver.
Veggies should be eaten raw or cooked 3-5 parts. Fried veggies should be finished in one sitting, do not store.

We should prevent this without necessarily spending more. We just have to adopt a good daily lifestyle and eating habits. Maintaining good eating habits and time condition are very important for our bodies to absorb and get rid of unnecessary chemicals according to ’schedule.’
