Financial Aid available for studying abroad
Submitted by Venila on 01/06/2009 - 12:51 PM
Financial aid is an important factor for students who are planning to study abroad. Careful planning is both necessary and wise. Foreign nationals are required to show proof of sufficient funds to cover at least the first year of their college education to apply for a student visa. For making their students studying abroad the parents has to make money from their own income and no other go...so if you are rich and have enough money, only then the students should opt for study abroad.

Some sources available in India for studying abroad are 1. Sponsorship, 2. Loans, 3. Fellowships.
1. Sponsorship: This is perhaps the simplest option of all. The university presents an official estimate of study and living expenses, and you get a letter or affidavit from your parents or a rich relative, in which they declare their income and support for your studies. This is satisfactory for both the university and the visa authorities.

2. Loans: It is provided by different banks like State Bank of India, Bank of India, Andra Bank, syndicate Bank, Canara Bank. they provide a maximum up to 10 lakhs by following the terms and conditions. these loans only provide a partial loan and the rest 25% should be arranged from hand by parents. The first condition is that admission should be confirmed. Secondly, loans are not given for correspondence courses. And thirdly, the past academic record of the loan seeker should also be satisfactory. Only then loan is provided on some security (it can house, insurance policy etc).

3. Fellowship: Fellowship are very popular and securing one is really difficult because of high competition. some fellow ships are
1. Aga khan Foundation.
2. Inlaks Scholarships.
3. AT and T scholarship awards.
4. Rotary Ambassadorial Scholarships.
5. ITC Scholarships.
