 As per My knowledge:

NEW DELHI: From mid November Delhi University’s Department of Adult, Continuing Education and Extension will start eight short term professional courses. The courses to be introduced had already been approved by Delhi University’s Vice-Chancellor.

The new short term courses to be introduced by the DU are in the field of Science and Sports Journalism; Counseling and Guidance; Travel and Tourism; Psychological Assessment for Competency Building; Forensic Probing; Volunteer Management; Public Interest Litigation and Physiotherapy and Sports Medicine.

All the eight courses to be introduced from mid-November will be of three months duration, the course fees will be Rs.1500 for each course. The minimum qualifications prescribed for taking up these short term courses is class XII pass and the last day for submission of admission forms is 30th October.

The classes for these courses will be held in the afternoon twice a week, after regular classes are over.

According to the Head of the Department Mr. N.K. Chaddha, the course is not only restricted to students studying at the university but is open to all including working people wanting to enhance their professional skills.

He further said that these courses will be different from similar courses run by other colleges as more than 1/3rd emphasis will be on practical also the course fee is very low in comparison with similar courses offered by other educational institutes.
