HI Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS) Pilani is ranked among best colleges in India. It is a UGC certified deemed university which has its campuses in Goa, Hyderabad, and Dubai. Every year, the Institute conducts BITS Admission Test. It is held for the intake of candidates in B.E, B.Pharm, and M.Sc. courses. However, through BITSAT, admission is not granted in Dubai Campus.

The BITSAT 2009 test will be conducted on the basis of NCERT syllabus for 11th and 12th class. Candidates may refer to the NCERT text books for the contents. The syllabus for BITSAT includes:
Maths: Algebra, Trignometry, Two-dimensional Coordinate Geometry, Three dimensional Coordinate Geometry, Differential calculus, Integral calculus, Ordinary Differential Equations, Probability, Vectors, Statistics and Linear Programming.
Physics: Units & Measurement, Kinematics, Newton's Laws of Motion, Impulse and Momentum, Work and Energy, Rotational Motion, Gravitation, Mechanics of Solids and Fluids, Oscillations, Waves, Heat and Thermodynamics, Electrostatics, Current Electricity, Magnetic Effect of Current, Electromagnetic Induction, Optics and Modern Physics.
Chemistry: States of Matter, Atomic Structure, Chemical Bonding & Molecular Structure, Thermodynamics, Physical and Chemical Equilibria, Electrochemistry, Chemical Kinetics, Hydrogen and s-block elements and p- d- and f-block elements.
English Proficiency and Logical Reasoning: Grammar, Vocabulary, Reading Comprehension, Composition, Verbal Reasoning and Nonverbal Reasoning. |
