Indian Universities listed in Top 100 universities of Asia

In a recent global survey conducted on Asian universities, merely seven Indian universities could make to the list of Top-100 universities in Asia. These seven universities are the five IITs, Delhi University (DU) and Pune University. DU stands at 60th position while IIT Bombay at 30th, IIT Kanpur -34, IIT Delhi - 36, IIT Madras - 49 and IIT Roorkee - 63rd position. Dedicated institutes like Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) are better equipped to build global recognition than large public universities. But in the case of DU there is ta talk that they are dishearted as DU has been ranked low. They are trying to incorporate the semester system, which is the norm of Western countries and also improving their research and course work.
