It is mandatory to clear the JEE Main 2016 for qualify JEE Advanced. For joining in NIT’s and some other government funded colleges and private colleges we have to clear the JEE Main.

Online application will be available from November 1st week to December last week in the JEE Main official website i.e. http://www.jeemain.nic.in/
Examination pattern for JEE Main 2016:
There are two types of exam held in JEE Main 2016 paper 1 and paper 2. Paper 1 score is helpful for joining B.E / B.Tech and Paper 2 is helpful for joining B.Planning / B.Arch. Paper 1 will be a pen and paper based exam fully loaded with objective type questions from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. While paper 2 will be asked in three parts first will be objective questions from Mathematics, 2nd part will be aptitude questions and 3rd part will be a drawing test.
Eligibility Criteria for JEE Main 2016:
For OBC/General Students who want to appear for JEE must born on or after 1st October 1991. While for others here is 5 years of age relaxation will be given.

JEE Main Counselling & Seat Allotment is scheduled to start in the month of June 2018. JEE Main Counselling is held concurrently with JEE Advanced 2018 Counselling and is called as JoSAA. Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) will handle the JEE Main counselling and seat allotment for the year 2018. By qualifying JEE Main 2018 Engineering Entrance Exam, candidates can get admission in various Under Graduate Courses in the field of engineering & architecture.
