NEET 2018 Compulsory for Students Chasing MBBS Abroad
Last Updated - February 08 2018

MCI (Medical Council of India) in a major releasement has decided to mandate NEET for admission to MBBS courses abroad. National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET) has already been made the centralized entrance exam for admission to MBBS and BDS courses provided by all the Government and Private medical institutions in the country. The move is aimed at regulating the quality of students looking to Chase MBBS abroad.

Since the introduction of NEET, different agencies and educational consultants have been promising cheap medical education in foreign countries. It also paves the way for MBBS candidates to bypass NEET as no formal entrance test is organized for admission to MBBS courses in several foreign universities. All the candidates, however, have to appear for FMGE (Foreign Medical Graduate Examination) conducted by MCI to register as medical practitioners in India.
